I have always been interested in the story of the Gimli Glider and then to have the ability to own a piece of this special plane is awesome. The product itself is terrific, but these limited release tags for specific aircraft is what makes this planetag really special for me.

United StatesI ordered two of these tags from MA. Both are beautifully cut pieces of history from the famous Gimli Glider (Air Canada Flight 143). I use one on my luggage and the other I keep tucked safe away. These are totally sold out now so you'll have to go aftermarket to find one! Good luck!

CanadaWhen I saw the tag I had to have it. I bought 2, one for a gift. I have been to Gimli. I know the story and I used to fly on Air Canada a lot. It hangs on my everyday work bag and I get asked about it. One young lady asked me if I was a retired pilot because of the “retired” on the tag. I had to explain that I might be retirement age but I am not a retired pilot. Honest. The tag is really well made and, while I carry it every day, it doesn’t have a scratch or a chip.

CanadaI have this tag on my everyday carry bag for work. I knew of the Gimli Glider. I have even been to Gimli, although nothing to do with this flight. What this flight crew did was nothing short of phenomenal. You have likely read that other pilots in simulators failed. So what does Air Canada do? They PUNISHED the crew. Idiots they are, but they had to reinstate because the crew were getting so many accolades from their peers. Once retired, Air Canada should have put this plane in a garden with a holy water fountain so that people could go rub it for luck. No, they junked it, and I am beyond pleased to think I have a small piece of it so I will always remember what that crew did and this tag further prompts me to do that. Thanks for making this and thanks for making the tag available.
