Email with the company was less than professional. The first time the SR -71 tag was to go live, it didn’t. They company failed on many fronts despite the repeated questions on social media to address the delay. As the launch was scheduled near Christmas, that left a lot of people upset & w/o answers. I chose not to purchase when it was released based on extremely poor customer service. However, when they didn’t sell out as they expected and offered them on a second run I chose to own a unique item if aviation hx. Going forward, I will not support PlaneTags & Motoart.
My dad was the wing commander of the 9th Reconnaissance wing in the early 80's which was the home for the SR-71 in northern California. So when I saw this plane tag, I knew I had to have one! It's likely I may have even watched this plane in action when I lived there. Amazing to own a piece of such a legendary aircraft.
I have bought many items from Moto Art since you opened and have flown out and visited. I have purchased 4 SR-71 tags the first set and now the second set . Keep up the great work. Also the B-36 tag was great. My late father was AC commander B36 Loring AFB.
Tough and durable, easy to attach. Nothing else like it.
I was so excited to get this piece. I got one for me and my son. Great to own a piece of aeronautical history.
It isn't every day that you get the chance to get an object from a super-secret high-speed aircraft. Planetags did just that by salvaging a piece of an SR-71 "Blackbird." The fastest military aircraft ever produced and flown. I use the tag on my carry-on and several times fellow travelers have asked how I came to have that item. So it is a fun conversation piece. Planetags made a great product. Also, Planetags was easy to work with by providing fast service and shipping. Five Stars.
Gave it to my son as a Christmas gift. He was thrilled to receive it. It's really thick and really impressive. Makes a great gift.
A nice little ceramic piece of the skin from the hottest aircraft ever flown!
I actually don’t use this as a keychain. I’m sure it’s durable but I just prefer keeping it in my office on a mantle shelf as a little piece of art and admire it all the time. When I first got it, I was impressed how thick it is. I know they all vary in size but this is about 1/4” thick! And to think this little piece has practically been to space! So lightweight - So beautiful - So unique. Thrilled to have a rare piece of history like this that I can enjoy, admire and wonder about.
Love having such a unique piece of aviation history.
Great to have a piece of history that had such a vital role in the Cold War. The piece I have in my hand has been three times the speed of sound and damn near in outer space. Anyone who loves aviation will love to have this plane tag
should be five stars, but, bad shipping options for overseas customers wouldn't mind to pay a few dollars more for faster courier service
absolutely loved this gift. he was super excited about owning a piece of his fave plane
waited SR-71 flight tag for a long time!!!
Probably wont put on any luggage as I'm afraid it would get stolen.
It looks great but I was hoping to get a thicker one I know it's the luck of the draw.
The tags I’ve ordered from PlaneTags have been fantastic! Great experience, and always arrive quickly. I’ve purchased a Southwest tag for my uncle who flies for southwest and the sr-71. Both have exceeded my expectations.
Very nice addition to my collection. I'm amazed I have something that has traveled at Mach 3.3 and 80,000 feet.
I wasn't sure what the item would look like when I bought it. I had a good idea from the website, but every piece is somewhat different. When I opened the package, I was so happy it was unbelievable. I've bought a number of Plane Tags from MotoArt and they were all very cool. But this one stood out due the skin of the SR-71. It was perfect! I like things that make others do a double-take and ask questions. This one met that criteria. People have asked me about it and love the background story of MotoArt. Great item that I had waited for and was worth the wait!! Thanks MotoArt!! Ken
