United StatesThis one intrigued me but I waited until a sale to snag it. I love the finish and how well it was polished. An absolute cool piece of history to have; I just wonder why this plane never flew again even though virtually all the other ex-Eastern DC-9s did.
United StatesGift for my dad, Eastern Line and Heavy maintenance mechanic, 79-88. A good possibility he did maintenance on this aircraft during his time at EAL, also a slight possibility that I flew on this aircraft as a kid. Great piece, have to agree a bit too polished, but overall cool idea.

MexicoI got the polished aluminium, it came mirror polished, too polished for my taste, I would have liked it to have come a little more raw and less polished, to make it look more like an old plane. It came so polished and clean that it could pass through any polished sheet of aluminum. However, it is a very good piece.
United StatesMy dad passed 5 years ago and he worked for Eastern until they ceased operations in 1991. He was an airport agent and he was in and out of these planes all the time. I have no doubt that he was in the plane where this tag was made at some point in his life with Eastern.
United StatesBeautiful tag from failed Eastern Airlines. The tag I purchased was straight metal, no paint. It has a beautiful bare metal finish and I think the only better Eastern tag would be a combo color tag. No issues at all!

United StatesI have the DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, DC-7 & DC-9 Planetags. I am an old pilot and love having these pieces of history, especially of some of my favorite planes. I use some of my tags as name tags on my brief cases. Others I am just collecting. I especially appreciate that I know the exact aircraft each came from. I may start a new line in the future.
