Aloha - a warm greeting, and an evocative word of welcome to travelers to Hawaii. MotoArt welcomes the newest aircraft to the PlaneTags fleet - a Boeing 737-200 from Aloha Airlines. Introducing N824AL.

Constructed as a 737-282, our Boeing 737 was delivered to TAP Air Portugal as CS-TEO in July 1983. It flew short-haul routes throughout Europe for TAP and its charter subsidiary Air Atlantis until early 1998. In March 1998, it was reregistered as N824AL and began operating for Aloha Airlines. In the tradition of Aloha Airlines’ naming its 737’s in honor of Hawaiian royalty or Polynesian navigators, it was christened in honor of Kalaniopu'u, the supreme monarch over the island of Hawaii and Maui’s Hana district during the 1700s. In 1999, N824AL was decorated with a flowered lei painted upon its fuselage to commemorate that year’s Aloha Festivals. N824AL was withdrawn from service in March 2008 and landed for the final time at Mojave later that year, still clad in its Bird of Paradise Aloha Airlines livery. MotoArt acquired it in 2023 to create PlaneTags.
Aloha Airlines was a pioneer with its usage of the 737-200. The first Boeing 737 flight in Hawaii was on board an Aloha Funbird. Aloha was also the first airline to use an ETOPS rated 737-200, for over-water flights to Kiritimati (Christmas Island), its first destination beyond the Hawaiian Islands, nearly 1,350 miles south. Aloha Airlines was the only airline to fly to and from the U.S. mainland using ETOPS certified 737-700s. Aloha Airlines became an all Boeing 737 airline, operating 84 737s in all variants, until operations ceased in 2008.
Join us in celebrating the Spirit of Aloha with the newest PlaneTags, made from N824AL. Collectors will not want to miss this release and the limited color variants. Aloha Airlines 737-200 PlaneTags also make the perfect gift for travelers and anyone who loves Hawaii and the beauty and culture it represents.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

I bought this tag because of Aloha Airlines flight 243, a Boeing 737-200 as well. The plane miraculously survived after explosive decompression, with only one fatality. The coral color is slightly patinated and it's very unique. Great job PlaneTags in preserving aviation history.
Not often you come across an Aloha Airlines aircraft, especially one that now you can hold the many colors off of the aircraft! I love this release of tags.
Love this aloha tricolor tag. It brings me fond memories of my trips to Hawaii every time I look at it.
Who doesn't love Hawaii??? This tag is a beautiful reminder of an airline that primarily serves the beautiful state of Hawaii. Just looking at it reminds me of the lovely South Pacific Island!!!
So many great color combinations from this release. Could not be happier with all of them and the rich history Aloha airlines has!
Was lucky enough to snag a tri-color variant. I recieved a beautiful and wonderful blue/yellow/orange tag. Couldn't be happier with this release
This is one of the best releases of the year! Every single one of these has such a great vibrant color to them! Great job MA
Such a simple but elegant tag. Thank you for preserving this piece
Fairly simple reason. Wanted a momento of flying to Hawaii for our honeymoon 40+ years ago. this fills the bill. Plus I love Airplanes.
Bought as another tag for my partners backpack.
I bought 3 of these tags and I find them very nice and cool. The B737 is one of my favorite aircraft and especially because of its long engines.
This release is by far the most colorful and bright! Item is exactly as described. Great customer service and great people that work for MA!
First time knowing about plane tags while at the final Reno Air Races. Stopped at the booth and won this Aloha Airlines tag.
I was going to utility on my luggage, but decided not to because afraid it would wear paint scheme off.Other than that happy to have a piece of Aloha,Mahalo…
Such a cool collectors item, pretty cool to own a piece of a plane I flew on as a kid :)
Love buying from ya'll, so easy to get my Planetag fix, lol! I gotta be quicker though to get the rare ones! Would love anything that UPS flew too, hint hint!
I traveled throughout the islands of Hawaii, using Aloha Airlines back in the 80's. Having this tag gives me the pleasure to remember those days.
