Description

Meet PR-AJB, an Airbus A320 that spent nearly nineteen years flying across two continents before becoming the newest addition to the PlaneTags collection. Built in 2000 as MSN 1320, this aircraft began its career in Europe with Air 2000 and Monarch Airlines before completing its final chapter with Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. Today, authentic fuselage material from PR AJB has been preserved, cut and finished by hand to create these limited edition PlaneTags.

OUR PLANE'S STORY

This A320 first flew in September 2000 as G-OOAR and spent its early life in the United Kingdom, operating high-frequency leisure routes for Air 2000 and later Monarch Airlines. After nearly seventeen years in European service, the aircraft crossed the Atlantic and joined the Azul fleet in 2018 as PR-AJB. Although its time with Azul was brief, it became part of an important period of growth for the airline, flying domestic routes in Azul’s bright blue livery.
PR-AJB was retired later that same year and stored at Brooksville in Florida, where its long career came to an end. A young collector shared its fate with Dave Hall at Sun N Fun, hoping MotoArt could save it. Read the rest of the story on our blog: PR AJB: The Story of an Azul Airbus A320 With a Global Journey
