"The Leader of the Pack" is back! MotoArt presents the Second Edition of our Rockwell B-1B Lancer PlaneTags, created from the original skins of 82-0001, the very first B-1B ever produced. After the launch of the first series of 1,000 B-1B PlaneTags in 2017, additional sections of the aircraft surfaced. We were fortunate to secure enough material for this Second Edition.
The B-1 Lancer is a USAF supersonic, variable-sweep wing heavy bomber that first flew in December 1974. After the B-1 program was canceled in 1977, it was revived by President Ronald Reagan and the B-1B was born in October 1984. Using its variable-sweep wings, the B-1 employs the forward-wing setting during takeoff, landing, aerial refueling, and some high-altitude weapon drops. Aft-wing sweep is the main combat configuration, typically used during high subsonic and supersonic flight. Since then, the B-1 has continually evolved to meet the demands of its role as a strategic nuclear deterrent and combat proven warplane, remaining in service with the Air Force Global Strike Command until the arrival of the B-21.
82-0001, christened “Leader of the Fleet," was the first B-1B out of 100 that came off the production line. Assembled using airframe parts from the planned fifth B-1A, it rolled out on September 4, 1984 and took its first flight on October 18, 1984. ‘0001 flew 138 test missions over a total of 617 hours, before beginning the next part of its mission as a weapons-loading trainer in August 1988. It was dismantled in May 1995 to comply with the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. Parts of the airframe were used for JP-8 fire propagation testing at Wright-Patterson AFB, while MotoArt was lucky to acquire material to create PlaneTags.
Don’t miss this second edition of the best selling Rockwell B-1B Lancer PlaneTags! The B-1B remains in service with the USAF and under Homeland Security restrictions, making this material nearly impossible to come by. Add B-1B Lancer PlaneTags to your collection or give as a gift that will never be forgotten.

Don’t let these bombers get away, like our sold out B-29 and B-17G. Add these to your collection before they are gone.
*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

Customer service-Excellent Product-Excellent Shipping-Excellent Every aspect went perfect. Thanks for doing what you do.
Our planetag came with a chunk taken out of the back and scratched. They told me it was the charm of it…Paid almost $200 for it. They had me pay for shipping to sent it back. Unfortunate, bad customer service.
My teenage grandson loves planes and asked for PlaneTags for Christmas. He was thrilled to receive a couple. When I shared that PlaneTags were now at the Smithsonian, he was quite impressed! Thank you!
I love the tag! It stands out and makes it easier to find my keys!
I have a number of these now and I love them all. I place them with models of the aircraft that I have acquired over time. Given that, I’m wondering if they could find a few tags for: B58, SBD Dauntless, P61…
Great to do business with. You get exactly what they advertise. Quick shipping. Please keep up the great work!!!
I don’t use it, it’s mounted on a wall collection with many others. I bought this ten months ago and now you ask me what I think?
My favorite so far
As usual super fast shipping and another historic aircraft some what saved from being a beer can...sits among my most cherished tags ....
Nice color and awesome tag
I don’t actually use the item. I collect them. They are too nice to use on a daily basis.
The tag and the base is very impressive. Exceeded my expectations. However due to current transportation challenge brought by Covid, the freighting time requires a lot of patience.
My B-1B PlaneTag is important to me because it was a part of my B-1B flying experience. I flew B-1B’s from 1986-1990. In addition, I also have the B-52 PlaneTag; another airplane that I also flew for many years. It provides a historical and physical connection with the aviation machine that was a huge part of my military career.
