Own a Piece of the Aircraft That Helped Preserve Walt Disney's Airplane
Crafted from N193PA, a Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I, these limited-edition PlaneTags are made from the donor aircraft that helped restore Walt Disney's personal Gulfstream I at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
After completing that important role, material from N193PA was preserved once again as authentic PlaneTags.

OUR PLANE'S STORY
Introduced in 1959, the Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I helped define a new era of business aviation. Designed specifically for corporate travel, it combined speed, comfort, and reliability, establishing the Gulfstream name as one of the most respected in executive aviation.
Throughout its career, N193PA served several owners, including Pan American Sulphur Company and NASA, where it flew under the registrations N10NA and later N5NA before returning to civilian service.
Its most remarkable contribution came after retirement. The Palm Springs Air Museum selected N193PA as a donor and reference aircraft during the restoration of Grumman G-159 Gulfstream I N234MM, Walt Disney's personal airplane. Original material and structural references from N193PA helped restoration specialists faithfully return Disney's aircraft to its original appearance.
After completing that important role, material from N193PA was preserved once again as authentic PlaneTags.

The Role of Donor Aircraft
Historic aircraft restorations often rely on donor aircraft to provide original parts, structural details, and engineering references that can no longer be sourced decades after production.
While donor aircraft rarely receive the same attention as the airplanes they help restore, their contribution is essential to preserving aviation history. N193PA played exactly that role, helping ensure that Walt Disney's Gulfstream I could be restored as accurately as possible for future generations to enjoy.
