OUR PLANE'S STORY
C-GTWS was built as a Boeing 737-700 and was delivered to WestJet in July 2002. At this time in the airline’s history, WestJet employed 3,100 and flew over 5.8 million travelers throughout its 21 Western Canadian destinations. By the time C-GTWS retired in April 2020, the airline offered service in 100 destinations in North America, Central America, Europe, and the Caribbean but passengers dropped from 26 million in 2019 to just 8 million in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2020, passenger travel and WestJet’s services have returned in full force. WestJet now offers travel aboard its Next Generation 737s, 787 Dreamliners, and 737 Max fleet. In 2023, the airline announced its new service to Tokyo, and unveiled 20 new routes and three new destinations throughout North America. Through WestJet’s partnership with Delta Air Lines, passengers have access to over 150 U.S. cities on a single purchased ticket. WestJet also offers regional and connector services through its subsidiaries WestJet Encore, WestJet Link, and its low-cost carrier Swoop.

- Collectible - each one is numbered in a limited edition and comes attached to a display card.
- Versatile - comes with a durable metal ring, strong enough to attach to luggage or keys or display.
- Please Note: Due to limited quantities, combination colors you may receive will vary.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag.
