TWA 747-100: A Piece of the World’s Last TWA Can Now Be Yours
Trans World Airlines (TWA) was one of the big four domestic airlines in the US, operating from 1930 to 2001. Throughout its 70 year reign, some 300 aircraft flew for TWA, including 37 Boeing 747s. The only airplane with a name that's a household word - the Boeing 747-100 revolutionized intercontinental air travel in the 1970s with its unmatched combination of size and range. The result: the lowest operating costs in the industry, making the 747 a favorite of airlines and passengers alike. Known as the Plane that Shrank the World, it became an icon of long-haul travel and exotic holidays; Boeing’s 747 could fly more people further than any plane before.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag.
