OUR PLANE'S STORY
54-1927 was delivered to the USAF in January 1956 and initially assigned to the 45th Fighter-Day Squadron in North Africa. It later served with the 36th Fighter-Day Wing in Germany, the Air National Guard, and was finally stationed in Korea and Iowa before being retired in 1974. Its final resting place was in the Mojave Desert, where MotoArt uncovered this aviation treasure.
The F-100 Super Sabre holds a significant place in aviation history as one of the first supersonic jet fighters. Developed to replace the subsonic F-86 Sabre, it was a vital part of the USAF's fleet during the Cold War and saw extensive service in both Europe and Vietnam. Its advanced design and capabilities marked a major leap forward in military aviation.
Add this extraordinary F-100 Super Sabre PlaneTag to your collection now and own a tangible piece of history. Don't miss the chance to preserve and celebrate the legacy of this iconic aircraft.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.
