54-1927 was delivered to the USAF in January 1956 and initially assigned to the 45th Fighter-Day Squadron in North Africa. It later served with the 36th Fighter-Day Wing in Germany, the Air National Guard, and was finally stationed in Korea and Iowa before being retired in 1974.
