MotoArt introduces the first Boeing 707 PlaneTags to join our Boeing family of aircraft in the PlaneTags collection. Our newest PlaneTags are made from a 707-330 built in 1965 that was delivered to Lufthansa Airlines as D-ABUF before starting its second, more distinguished life as N88ZL. As a Lowa Limited charter jet, 8ZL carried some of the biggest names in music, foreign dignitaries, and other famous persons.
The 707, Boeing’s first jetliner, is a long-range, narrow-body aircraft that first flew in 1957 and was instrumental in ushering in a new age of passenger air travel. The first of a widely successful and prolific family of aircraft, the Boeing 707 dominated passenger transport during the 1960s and well into the 1970s.
After beginning its next career as a private charter jet in 1984 with Miami-based Lowa Limited, N88ZL offered a new type of travel for its more exclusive passengers. Now set up with an executive cabin configuration, 8ZL ferried VIP's like musicians, performers, former presidents, and other dignitaries in style and comfort all over the world, including US Former President Bill Clinton, Playboy editor-in-chief Hugh Hefner and his Girls Next Door, Fleetwood Mac, the Bee Gees, Pearl Jam, Bryan Adams, Beyoncé, and served as a tour plane for The Eagles and Bon Jovi.
On January 21, 2006, with rockers Bon Jovi on board, N88ZL skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada. The plane had 14 passengers and crew on board and was arriving from their previous tour stop in Buffalo, New York for three more shows in Canada. No one was severely hurt and the tour went on. Read more about it on our PlaneTags Blog.
Add a 707 to your Boeing collection or your rock music memorabilia. Our handcrafted PlaneTags are made from authentic fuselage skin of noteworthy or memorable aircraft, such as this 707 that carried music around the world.
PlaneTags are:
- Please Note: Due to limited quantities, combination colors you may receive will vary.
*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

I am very pleased with my purchases of PlaneTags. I am especially happy with the brief story and history that comes with them. This provides context that I think is important: they aren’t just chunks hacked from some old wreck. They have meaning to us avgeeks. Very well produced and well presented online as well. What you see is what you get. Thanks for your great endeavours. PK
Very cool history on this particular aircraft both music and aviation combine here
great, always appreciate the great items you have, add the Airbus A380 to your lineup
This is my repeat purchase, now I have the full collection.
Good looking tag to add to my collection. Keep on cutting up the aircraft.
When I was receiving this email,I was surprised. Thank you for releasing wonderful product!
Bought two of these and love them both! Great quick delivery!
The quality of the tag is amazing and I got to experience first hand the excellent customer service at MotoArt! While the postal service 'lost' my tag, MotoArts customer service team helped me in finding a solution. When the tag eventually showed up at their offices again after an 18.000km journey, they sent it back to me free of charge.
As a lover of airplanes, specifically Boeing civilian airliners, I could not pass up the chance to own a piece of a 707 as flying on one has a 99.9% probability of never happening. I purchased a combo colored tag. The tag is beautiful and well made. It is a treasured collectible I will never get rid of.
As usual Planetags and MotoArt delivers! Love their products as they keep coming up with unique and fantastic historical tags. Their customer service is excellent and have enjoyed everything they offer.
I have been inside this aircraft a few times. In Phoenix at Sky Harbor Airport in the early 2000's it blew an engine on take off and spent a few weeks sitting on our ramp waiting for another engine to be trucked in from Miami. This plane was so beautiful inside. Kitchen, shower, bedroom and much more! Plus the cockpit was awesome! Not many planes have flight engine stations anymore, or even in the early 2000s.I have some cool pictures of the exterior and think its so neat to actually have a piece of this amazing aircraft!
Having flown the 707, both the -100 and -300 series all over the World, I just had to have a 707 plane tag. Nice to own a piece of history from the Dawn of the Jet Age.
I am glad I bought this B707 planetag. I flew about 4,000 hours as a B707 flight engineer and I’m very happy I could get it. Simply beautiful and a piece of aviation history, everybody knows what B707 meant for commercial and military aviation… Love it!!!
An amazing souvenir for long time traveler
Beautiful work! And a great conversation starter in case you ever meet Bon Jovi.

“Living on a Prayer” as Bon Jovi would sing us - it is a privilege to be holding this unique piece of aviation history - the 707 thrust us into the true jet age!!! Simply Amazing and Thank you for saving a piece of history for us to enjoy - true blue & forever blue skies!!!
I have several PlaneTags, but having the Boeing 707 is an absolute treasure. The aircraft has been a favorite of mine for over 50 years. Every PlaneTag is finished very well, shipped quickly and packed to survive it’s trip to my home.
Nice substantial thickness, beautiful engraving and blue color. I used to travel on Pan Am 707s back in the seventies. So it’s nice to have a piece of one.
Really happy to own a piece of a 707. It's invaluable! When I purchased my first, I didn't think it'll be continue. Bit it's the third one in my collection, and I'm very happy with it.
