The Gulfstream 1 was a pioneering aircraft that flew onto the scene in the late 1950s, combining turboprop efficiency and flexibility with a comfortable cabin. It was designed for the emerging modern business aviation industry, offering executives a better way to cover distances, and shaped the evolution of executive air travel for future generations. Introducing Grumman Gulfstream 1 PlaneTags.

N708G, a G-159, took its first flight on July 21, 1959, and was delivered to its sole operator, Conoco, in September 1959. Conoco, which merged with Phillips Petroleum to become ConocoPhillips in 1999, experienced many changes during N708G’s time with the company. The company became a leader in energy exploration and production while facing global energy challenges such as the oil crisis in the 1970s, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events. After over 25 years with Conoco, N708G was retired in 1985. It remained in storage until MotoArt acquired it from ConocoPhillips in 2021 to create custom aviation furniture and G1 PlaneTags.
Today, Gulfstream aircraft are produced by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Georgia, and are built upon the legacy that all began with the Grumman G1. The Gulfstream 1's innovative blend of efficiency and comfort established a new standard for executive air travel, inspiring the development of subsequent Gulfstream models that further refined speed, range, and luxury. Its legacy endures in the modern Gulfstream business jet series, which continues to epitomize premium air travel for corporate and private clients worldwide.

*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

I think this aircraft tag was pretty neat because of the color variations and lots of tri color opportunities with this airframe.
My first tag was a Planetags G2 gulfstream, and since then I was hooked. When the tag was released, I know I had to purchase it. Exterior variant has a great amount of character, and compliments my tag fest 2 Gulfstream tag well.
The stripes with the tri color are great!!
Love the stripes with the tri color!!
The tri color tags are amazing from this release, another tag very well done.
The varieties of this release are fantastic! The combos all have crisp very bright colors as well as sun faded ones which make them extra unique! Great job planetags!
Another interesting peace of aviation history. I was lucky to get a tri-colored variety of this more than 65 years old aircraft...Amazing!
The tricolor (red, green, white) sold me on this release (and the fact that all things Grumman are must haves :) Picked up a couple tricolors, as well as one each of the dual colors. Also liked the relatively low production numbers.
This tag is really nice and special, with a bold green color. I enjoy this model aircraft and color scheme.
