PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

It is my first whirlybird tag. It's wonderful to own a piece of such a magnificent and historic whirlybird
Great price, great colors and great engravings. Very happy with these ones! Thanks motoart team!
Like on every tag the craftsmanship is superb. Sharp details, nicely achieved design and the story behind the tag. I am absolutely satisfied. The quality of the engraving and the dedicated attention to my request by planetags. I needed this tag to be dedicated to my son (Army guy) and his very first trip on a Chinook during a Training Rotation in Europe. Long version below It has been six years since my son went enlisted US Army. During his first Training Rotation (Europe-Poland) his unit was participating on a join training exercise with NATO allies. Why his CO decided to put him aboard a Chinook? that still is a enigma because he's not an infantry soldier. Matias/my Army son was very impressed , the Chinook's back ramp was fully open and guarded by a fearless guy manning a gun. The rest of the guys were all infantry , big, geared and with the stare that this was just another ride. The trip was of about 20 minutes, the Chinook stayed low, following the terrain contours, almost touching the treetops. He was thrilled and impressed. He was just a junior NCO still growing and fitting into his armor/gear vest and becoming the soldier he is now. I am showing the PlaneTags that I got for him. A piece of metal that once was part of a Chinook, that may had transported many of our soldiers to train, to deploy and hopefully back to safety. This tag completes me, this tag tells part of the story of a great machine, and now engraved part the story of my son. Of all the tags I have in my collection this is one of two most important ones. The other one is the Blackhawk, and yes it has to do with my Army son, but that goes on another review
Brings back good memories of them low flying in my valley
I'm a huge fan of the CH-47 Chinook. When I found out MotoArt had a plane tag of it I had to have one. I like the tag...don't love it. I was hoping/expecting a tag that was the traditional Chinook green that you always see however my tag is grey/black and very thin. Not sure what section of the Chinook it came from. Overall still nice to have a piece of history from such an amazing chopper.
While many buyers are commemorating their days of flying the Chinook, I ordered this PlaneTag to memorialize my many jumps out of this aircraft. We used to call them “Hollywood jumps” because they were largely bare-*** (daytime , no equipment) and the Chinook was a blast to jump out of. Most of mine were out of Canadian Chinooks but I had several out of the US model. I love the colour and quality of the PlaneTag and everyone who’s ever jumped out of one should get one of these! PK
I recently retired and decided to get a new keytag that not just reflected my service but was also rugged and would last me for years, Your CH-47 tag was almost perfect as a reminder of the time I flew over al-Anbar and got shot at while on my way back to Camp Victory. This is a keepsake I will always have to remind me where I've been and who I have been.
Great way to own a piece of history!!
My US Army M.O.S was 67U Ch-47 Maintenance and 66U Ch-47 Aircraft Technical Inspector from 1975- 1985. So when I received my Ch-47 tag it really hit home. The most unique and thoughtful gift I've ever received. Thanks Stacey.
So glad that Planetags released both the historic CH-46 and its big brother the CH-47. Both tags look wonderful.
Our daughter in law was a Blackhawk pilot in Iraq and we have purchased the helicopter items for her and she has enjoyed this side of history that she did not fly in.
Beautiful piece of history. 1 of the most beautiful helicopters in my opinion and it's great to have a piece of this helicopter in my growing collection.
This was given to my friend for as a gift because he love helicopters. He works for Cal Fire and is in a helicopter all the time.So I thought this would be a perfect gift for him. He really liked him and with ecstatic when he opened it.
A great idea! Fantastic way to carry a piece of history with you!
stylish decorative
Product was perfect. I suggest not using usps anymore, the shipping was terribly slow. Other than that, perfect
Love the Chinook !!! Couldn’t resist, ordered, received and displayed.
It was great to get my hands on this tag. I recently discovered a picture of this aircraft during it's service in Vietnam when it delivered an O1 to the Australian Task Force base at Nui Dat.
Added another piece of travel luggage, so I needed another tag. Really liked the 2 tags I already have. Added the third. I'm a retired US Army aviator who spent 7 years flying Chinooks.
