Boeing 747 Airplane Tag
This Boeing 747 N198UA took its first flight May 1997 and flew international routes for United Airlines until it was retired in March 2009. It began the second journey of its career in March 2012 when its cockpit and controls, engines, pylons, landing gear, actuators, electrical, hydraulics and fuel subsystems were incorporated into the Stratolaunch, the world’s largest aircraft by wingspan. As part of the Stratolaunch, this plane will live on to carry satellites and rockets into space.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because they are made from real fuselage, each one bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical ones. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular one.

I love the blues along with the airframe being used in the stratolaunch, Not many aircraft can be reincorporated into a new airplane, but this airframe and its history is one of those exceptions.
This is just a great overall tag, and I'm happy to have a United Airlines plane in my collection.
Love the color combinations from this plane! So awesome to own a piece of the historic 747!
I love United and I love the 747, my only complaint is the strong Stratolaunch marketing present with the tag and taking over the card artwork. While parts from this plane were recycled for use with the Stratolaunch, the fuselage skin of these tags never had anything to do with it. For me, this is a United 747 and only a United 747, which still makes it a great tag.
This tag was a nice addition that was thought to be a place holder for a United Airlines 747-200 that wasn't available at that time. And once again I got a two for one. As usual for a MotoArt/Planetag tag is nicely crafted/engraved. I got mine in blue to celebrate that awesome space up there that from the ground looks nicely blue and pretty. This tag is of a Boeing United Airlines aircraft that got to have a second career on the Space Exploration World. Definitely worth to hold its own place on a collection. Yes, the story behind of the aircraft adds value to this tag.
As a lover of anything space related, how could I miss out on getting this amazing planetag that combined my loves of both planes and space, amazing planetag!
My personal favorite 747 tag I own and honestly among the coolest history a plane can have. She lives on as a airborne rocket launch platform. A tag every should have in there collection.
I almost didn't buy this one, but I'm glad that I did! It's a nice bright blue and stands out really well in my collection. With its ties to Stratolaunch's massive, awe-inspiring Roc, this one stands as a great reminder to myself to reach for the stars, not even the sky is the limit.
This was the first planetag I ever bought. I got the tag on the swedish midsummer as a present from my parents. It is an amazing tag with a very nice blue paint on it. If you planning on buying this tag, then I can really recommend you to buy the tag.
This was one of my first tags, but definitely not one of my last. Such a cool story behind this aircraft/airframe!
This was my first plane tag, it arrived very fast and I love how it has facts and the history of the aircraft on the back. So happy I decided to finally get one and I am exited to buy many more in the future.
The United 747 is an icon of the San Fransisco sky. I remember fondly when they would come in passing over the San Mateo bridge, and land on the 28's. To have a tag of one of these mighty United Queens is amazing. What makes it even more cool was the second life it was given in support of the Stratolauncher project, so to have connections to both aspects are really neat.
My Tag arrived really quickly, and it's a solid quality. Thank you!
Cute gift for the airplane lover who has everything.
Perfect addition to my collection.
Wonderful tag! Another piece of history at home!
I bought two and had one engraved to give my favorite UA purser as a special thank you gift. It's really such a perfect gift and really lovely. The other is on my carry-on. I travel a huge amount and really miss the old 747s.
This item is being kept in a memory box for me. My memory of my favorite time Flying the Friendly Skies of United, working the upper deck & friendships made. Loved the Queen of the Skies!
I got this as a gift and I couldn’t be happier with it. It feels awesome to own a piece of the legendary 747 and the quality of the product is great!
