Our Boeing 727-227 took its first flight on May 12, 1970. Registered as N402BN, it flew for Braniff International Airways, followed by Northwest Airlines as N206US. On March 14, 1988, it was delivered to Pan Am as N385PA and flew with the airline until 1991. It remained in boneyard storage, still in its Pan Am colors, until 2023.
“Every country has an airline. The World has Pan Am.” Pan Am distinguished itself as more than just a U.S. carrier; it became a symbol of international air travel, connecting continents and cultures, and earning a reputation as a pioneer and ambassador in the world of aviation.
Pan Am 727 PlaneTags are a tangible piece of Pan Am’s legacy. Indulge in the allure of vintage air travel and own a piece of aviation history with limited-edition Pan Am Boeing 727 PlaneTags

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

How amazing is it to hold Pan Am history in your hands? Despite how weathered the aircraft was, its so cool how blue the team managed to pop after all these years.
Finally got a Pam Am tag! Such an iconic airline. It's an amazing feeling to hold a piece of airline history - especially a tag that comes from the iconic Pam Am logo!
I have always been fascinated with Pan-Am! They started back when commercial aviation was truly high-class. It's so cool to have a tag from an airline that was there when it all started. This beautiful tag brings some much needed color to my collection!
I'm really pleased with my purchase of this tag and of course the nostalgia that comes with it. The colors are great. Such a cool product!
Pan Am AND the 727 !!! What an amazing, monumental and historic pair!!! I can't help but think back to that golden age of flying where Pan Am was THE airline evolving air travel and even airports. This with the 727 - itself a revolutionary machine whose key design elements continue to this day in other Boeing classics will forever serve as a tribute to those amazing times ling behind us but never forgotten. Love this gorgeous WHITE tag from this amazing aircraft !!
Hands down the greatest release in terms of commercial airliner. Pam-Am, the recognizable blue globe logo has been persevered as PlaneTags for all the AVfans, and Tagnatics! Got the full set and absolutely love them, especially all the tail cuts and their interesting backs!!! Bravo MotoArt!!!
Love the iconic blue of the Pan Am tag. I bought the tail logo blue thinking it would be different somehow from the regular blue (due to the slightly higher price). Based on the pictures and the FB group, it appeared that the back of the tail logo blue tags might be different. Mine looks like any other tag, so it's hard to tell if it actually was a tail logo blue or just a regular blue that I paid extra for.
This was a spectacular release! Great plane and great colors.
Working in the Airlines for over 10 years, Pan Am is the ultimate commercial tag to have!!! Moto Art keeps providing access to history!!!
I gifted one of these from the Pan Am 727 to one of my co-workers for her birthday. Her father had been a pilot for Pan Am many years ago but I didn’t realize until after I had purchased it that her father had flown 727’s! She told me that it did make her a little emotional. I was glad that I could connect her to her dad in a small way.
Such an amazing opportunity to own a piece of the last plane in the Pan Am livery! I never got to see any of these birds fly in person, but I am more than thrilled to be able to own the classic Pan Am Blue!
The blue paint on these is very nice, still looks brand new! The white not so much, definitely shows how long the plane was abandoned. Unless you like that! But I prefer to imagine the plane as it was when it was still flying, and the blue version does that very well.
Pan Am has always been one of my favorite airlines so when I heard the news that a PlaneTag from the last surving Boeing 727 in Pan Am livery was being made, of course I was excited for the release. Upon receiving my array of tags in different variations, I was incredibly happy to have such a great piece of history in my hands. The Pan Am tags do not disappoint and are probably one of the greatest tag releases that MotoArt has ever done.
My personal favorite tag to date and probably forever is actually a plane I know and have seen countless times rotting away at MQY. These tags are super special and represent a time in aviation when flying something special. 727 + Pan Am is a real win in my book especially the Blues!
I purchased the metal version of this tag. I flew on many different 727s over the years and this is a great keepsake.
Most anticipated release of 2023. Got 4 of it. Thank you MA for this fantastic release.
How can anyone not love Pan Am. Such an icon. Thanks MA for transporting us back to the golden age of air travel with this fantastic release!
I was very excited when I found out that Planetag would realese tags from Pan Am. I was very lucky to get a Tail logo blue tag which was a very nice tag, because when I got the tag I saw some red paint on it, which was very nice.
I bought a tail logo blue tag, I was very excited when I got the tag because I saw some red paint on it and that was very nice. Pan Am is also one of my favorite airlines and I also think the Boeing 727 is a very cool plane.
This is the quintessential 727 PlaneTag! For any enthusiast of Pan Am or the 727, this tag is the one for you! Each one shows such character! Thank you MotoArt for preserving this marvelous aircraft!
