The B-17 is such a cool aircraft that when I saw it available, I had to jump on it. I am so happy of the patina of this historic aircraft. Would definitely recommend if it comes back into stock.
These are some great tags! So many different and unique rivet options have come out and I haven't been disappointed by any of them!
It's incredible to own a part of a historic aircraft. Received my riveted tag and really loved it
The heavy WWII bomber that housed 10 young men above the skies over Europe with .50 caliber machine guns defending at every angle of the aircraft. These aircraft made famous in Masters of The Air, Memphis Belle, among other Great War movies. I’m also grateful to own a few tags of this once great aircraft, which each tag showing the wear and tear that this mighty bomber went through after the Second World War, as a movie prop, and sitting out in the elements. Definitely a must own, and cherished tag in my collection!!!
Couldn't be happier with the patina on this tag! Such a beautiful combination of greens!
Grateful to be able to pick up this tag on a restock as I wasn't yet collecting when it originally released. I love history and this is history personified! Great tag!
5/5 stars. Highly recommend
I wish I would have found your website earlier! The best one sell out fast. Getting your first choice is almost impassible.
If you have the opportunity as batches of these are made and dropped, from newly released material, don’t hesitate. This may be your only opportunity to get a relic from an actual Flying Fortress. Mine was bare metal with a little bit of grey paint at the bottom and some serious curvature. Tons of character in every one of these I’ve seen and mine was no exception!
Extremely pleased with the item. Finally have a classic B-17 tag.
As someone who loves vintage aircraft, this B-17 tag is a must-have. Mine was speckled with a variety of greens and silvers. One of my all-time favorites for sure.
I purchased this tag for my dad a few years back and as the tags sold out I regretted not buying one for myself. Randomly this tags were back in stock and I hurridly purchased one and could not be more happy. Owning a piece of aviation history that you can hold in your hand is pretty awesome. Granted the plane did not see action in WWII but it was used in the Hollywood great, "12 O'Clock High," which is just more history to behold. If these tags were ever for sale again, I would buy more. They are just too cool to pass up. Own a piece of history today!
I was happy to be able get this tag for its historical significance (I am not a "tag collector", but a history collector. To start, having flown on a B-17G, I was happy that this was that model. Moreover, its significance in the filming "Twelve O'Clock High"makes it extra special. The negatives on this tag are minor: 1) the tag has a bit of oxidation, making it hard to read (I appreciate "patina",but...) 2) this USAAF insiginia on the card is incorrect for when this plane was in service. This special tag is my only exception to my other tag collection, as I many collect Cold War items (B-52, B-1, B-36).
Absolutely amazing tag. What a fantastic piece of history. Thanks MotoArt for letting us all own a part of these aircraft.
Really love the idea of owning such an amazing piece of history, however felt it worth sharing some perspective for others. I bought this with the true intention of actually using it as a keychain, and what I received is visually amazing. Unfortunately the piece I received is so paper thin, it is effectively unusable for anything other than as an interesting display piece. It's amazing to think that material this thin was part of the structure of something so large - I guarantee it would crumple the first time I put it in my pocket, so I'm not going to be able to use it as an actual keychain. Yes the website does say they cannot guarantee color, thickness, etc, so this is not a complaint at all. Just pointing out that depending on your expectations of its intended use, it may or may not suit your needs.
