The Sikorsky EH-60 Black Hawk is a medium lift utility helicopter, equipped with advanced technology to make it extremely effective in day and night missions, in extreme weather and under the toughest conditions. MotoArt welcomes 87-24659 to the fleet - a Sikorsky EH-60, a variant specifically designed for electronic warfare.
The Sikorsky UH-60A was developed by the U.S. Army as a replacement for the aging UH-1 Huey helicopter. An RFP for a new utility helicopter was issued in the early 1970s. Several helicopter manufacturers submitted proposals, including Sikorsky and rival Boeing-Vertol with the YUH-61A. Sikorsky’s UH-60 won and quickly became a mainstay of the Army’s helicopter fleet. 87-24659 was constructed as an EH-60A in 1987. Although its history remains classified, it was known to have served in the Gulf War.
The EH-60 variant is an airborne electronic warfare aircraft, specifically developed by the U.S. Army to provide electronic warfare support to ground troops during combat missions. It was equipped with a sophisticated intelligence gathering system to intercept enemy communications and analyze them in real time. It also boasted advanced equipment used to locate and disrupt enemy communications. The YEH-60A took its first flight in September 1981. 61 EH-60As were produced by Sikorsky and used extensively during the early 1990s, during the Gulf War and in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. Nothing can get more iconic in the helicopter world than the Blackhawk! The lettering tags from this release are awesome to be able to purchase! So unique and reminds me of mystery tags!
One of the greatest motoart releases. Got a data lettering variant and couldn't be happier with it. It's so gorgeous
Love the blackhawk! Such an iconic helicopter and super awesome to be able to own a piece of one!
Sikorsky EH-60A Blackhawk 1,864 of 4,500 SN: 87-24659 Very please and surprise of this tag. Beautiful, nice and clean black/dark matte green colour. A tag made out of the skin of a helicopter with stories to tell, but cannot because it's classified. I can tell you this, my Army son did a joyride at Fort Riley, KS (June 2020) and that info I did declassified just for you guys.
When this planetag was revealed, it was a no-brainer to grab! This planetag elevates my collection to the next level as I can now say I own part of a Blackhawk!
First helicopter tag and one with some sweet history still unknown.
Had planned on grabbing a single tag but once seeing them walked away with a 59E, Data, and USArmy. A bit more expensive than I thought or my credit card would have preferred but glad I ate Ramen for a few weeks to get these ;) Seriously, great release...and that's coming from a commercial collector!
What a beast of a tag, super clean

Beast of a chopper and super clean tag. Bought this with the MD500 with a discount. Both arrived super quick
Timely delivery considered it was being delivered to the other side of the planet. Tag was clean and will make a fine addition to my collection.
As a retired fly girl, it’s the best gift you can get for anyone else who is in love with aircraft!
This is a great addition to the collection. I got two: one for myself and one for an Army vet friend. We both were very happy with the product.
The EH-60A was surprisingly thick for the skin of a helicopter, with great color and markings. PlaneTags have been on a roll this year with bi-weekly releases of amazing aircraft. Love the military and historic aircraft. Keep them coming.
I am addicted. Love these plane tags. I have ten and working to complete all the military tags first.

I’m new to this game and didn’t realize just how fast the tags went! Especially the combo’s. I flagged the white and green one and paid for it, when I went back I found out that it was the last one. So when the new C-121 came out I scored mine 3 minutes after they came out. These guys are the greatest. Paul C.
Excellent!! Looking forward to seeing the next one.
I've bought a number of tags for myself & given many more as gifts to my military family who have worked on or in these aircraft. The new blackhawk tag is no different; great tag from a great aircraft, upcycled by the great folks at MotoArt! Thank you for another great tag!
Absolutely thrilled to own a piece of 59E. Shipping was fast for me to enjoy my purchase right away. Prominent spot in my PlaneTags collection!
