Its assignments included aerodynamics, high-speed performance, propulsion, structural flight loads, community noise and extended operations testing.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThat work contributed to the extensive test program leading to a major milestone on \u003cstrong\u003eAugust 26, 2011,\u003c\/strong\u003e when the Boeing 787 Dreamliner received FAA and EASA type certification.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBut certification wasn't the end of ZA004's story. The aircraft remained a working Boeing test platform for years.
