Eastern Air Lines DC-9 Fuselage Mirrors Tail #N8990E

Mirror Type

This Douglas DC-9 took to the skies on February 25, 1965 from Long Beach, California, and became one of the most popular and successful jet airliners for several reasons. N8990E was one of 81 DC-9-30s that powered the Eastern Air Lines fleet and helped make EAL one of the most successful and dominant airlines for decades. Eastern Air Lines, among other carriers, chose it as their workhorse due to its reliability and efficiency. N8990E was withdrawn from use when Eastern Air Lines ceased operations in January 1991, then broken up in 1994 in San Bernardino (MHV).

*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully:
PlaneTags and fuselage mirrors are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because they are made from real fuselage, each piece bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical pieces. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. These are part of their beauty. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your piece. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular mirror. Size is approximately 17 inches wide x 24 inches tall x 2-3 inches deep. Again, keep in mind that each piece is different. These sizes are supplied as a rough reference only.

Caution: Not recommended for children under 8 years of age. This product contains chemical-based paint which may cause respiratory irritation if ingested or inhaled in large quantities. Keep out of mouth.
