MotoArt introduces the first Boeing 707 PlaneTags to join our Boeing family of aircraft in the PlaneTags collection. Our newest PlaneTags are made from a 707-330 built in 1965 that was delivered to Lufthansa Airlines as D-ABUF before starting its second, more distinguished life as N88ZL. As a Lowa Limited charter jet, 8ZL carried some of the biggest names in music, foreign dignitaries, and other famous persons.
The 707, Boeing’s first jetliner, is a long-range, narrow-body aircraft that first flew in 1957 and was instrumental in ushering in a new age of passenger air travel. The first of a widely successful and prolific family of aircraft, the Boeing 707 dominated passenger transport during the 1960s and well into the 1970s.
After beginning its next career as a private charter jet in 1984 with Miami-based Lowa Limited, N88ZL offered a new type of travel for its more exclusive passengers. Now set up with an executive cabin configuration, 8ZL ferried VIP's like musicians, performers, former presidents, and other dignitaries in style and comfort all over the world, including US Former President Bill Clinton, Playboy editor-in-chief Hugh Hefner and his Girls Next Door, Fleetwood Mac, the Bee Gees, Pearl Jam, Bryan Adams, Beyoncé, and served as a tour plane for The Eagles and Bon Jovi.
On January 21, 2006, with rockers Bon Jovi on board, N88ZL skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada. The plane had 14 passengers and crew on board and was arriving from their previous tour stop in Buffalo, New York for three more shows in Canada. No one was severely hurt and the tour went on. Read more about it on our PlaneTags Blog.
Add a 707 to your Boeing collection or your rock music memorabilia. Our handcrafted PlaneTags are made from authentic fuselage skin of noteworthy or memorable aircraft, such as this 707 that carried music around the world.
PlaneTags are:
- Please Note: Due to limited quantities, combination colors you may receive will vary.
*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.

Ever since I discovered PlaneTags, I have been impressed with such a great idea. I was able to find several aircraft in their inventory that I actually worked on. I look forward to growing my collection.
This aircraft was probably one of the harder to obtain due to how old these jets are. With it, the tags that came out are very clean and always have surprises for any color off of this famous jet!
This plane was Boeing’s first true commercial jet aircraft, which ushered in the Jet Age as well. It’s a great piece to own!
This aircraft started the modern jet age and revolutionized aviation forever. It’s only fitting to memorialize it in a tag and should be a part of everyone’s collection. This aircraft in particular also has a very interesting history.

Credited as one of the aircraft to usher in the “Jet Age,” This narrow bodied four engine passenger has a great history. What interested me in having one of these tags is unfortunately, I was too young to ever fly this beauty, but my dad was fortunate enough to tell me great stories about this aircraft. Also, the history of the rock and roll stars that got to tour across the globe on board this bird, and even survive after a runway incident (hence the title)! Overall, another great release!
Love all of the color combinations this plane has to offer! I have purchased all but 1 of the variations and couldn't be happier with them!
The 707 is an iconic plane from the early jet age, a must have tag!
BOEING 707 330 Series # 0390 of 7,500 Tail# D-ABUF & N88ZL What a catch, a nice white, clean and smooth surface with highly well defined engraving. Great bands, I knew/met Conroy back in the mid 90s, I didn't know he was a big shot and probably that was a good thing. Yes this tag is full of good stories and life, a must get for a serious collector. I got to fly [August 1980] on the Ecuatoriana de Aviacion 707-321B HC-BFC from SCL to UIO my first time on a trip/flight.
It's amazing to own a piece of a historic airplane like the 707 that transported some of rock's greatest bands.
First of 2 tags I ever bought and definitely the coolest thing an avgeek can buy!
I love this tag because it is from an aircraft that was so revolutionary for the time. I wish the tag could talk and tell the stories from its life in service. Thank you Motoart for preserving this aircraft.
Bought this tag as a gift for a good friend who is a true music lover. Though he'll probably never become an AV geek, he loved the tag and its history.
Probably the coolest tag in my collection. So cool to own a piece of such a historic aircraft type.
Really unique old tag and flew celebrities around the world! I really love this tag!
I was researching the Gimli glider. As an Air Emergency show fan, I had enjoyed the story many times. Early in 2023, my friend named her new puppy Gimli, and I remembered that the Gilmi Glider had been up for auction. Thru the search engine, I learned that the plane was not purchased and sent back to Canada, as folks had hoped. Then the search engine mentioned Planetags. I had never heard of the company. Followed the link and learned about this company and the outcome of the Gimli, and was sad the tags were sold out. Then I saw the 707 and for some reason, I read the bio. I had seen Pres. Clinton in person, as well as being a lifelong Fleetwood Mac fan!!!! The plane's history was phenomenal! Bon Jovi! Eagles! I had to have a piece of history and keep my tag on my night stand! TY Planetags!
I am very pleased with my purchases of PlaneTags. I am especially happy with the brief story and history that comes with them. This provides context that I think is important: they aren’t just chunks hacked from some old wreck. They have meaning to us avgeeks. Very well produced and well presented online as well. What you see is what you get. Thanks for your great endeavours. PK
Very cool history on this particular aircraft both music and aviation combine here
great, always appreciate the great items you have, add the Airbus A380 to your lineup
This is my repeat purchase, now I have the full collection.
